Republican Competition “Ilm-Furughi Ma’rifat” (Science—the Light of Enlightenment)

The Republican Contest “Science—the Light of Enlightenment” is held with the support of the Founder of Peace and National Unity—the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and is aimed at developing technical thinking, popularizing a scientific worldview, and expanding access to techniques and technologies, the development of inventiveness and innovation, strengthening the link between science and production, attracting a greater number of schoolchildren, students, and other segments of society to the study of mathematics, exact, and natural sciences, as well as identifying and showcasing new talents in these fields.

The conduct of this competition from 2021 to 2024 has shown that the interest of the country's youth and adolescents in studying mathematics, physics, and the natural sciences has significantly increased, which has become a solid foundation for identifying and preparing highly qualified engineering and technical specialists.

In order to further improve and strengthen the competition process and to provide additional incentives for participants, a new nomination—“Artificial Intelligence and Programming”—was added to the competition in 2025, and the number of prize places at the republican stage was increased from 132 to 156.

At the same time, by direct instruction of the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Honorable Emomali Rahmon, the monetary prizes for all contest winners were doubled, and for the conduct of the contest from the Reserve Fund of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan was.
